Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Worsship (available at worsship.com and as a mobile app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time and will notify you of material changes.

2. Eligibility

To use Worsship, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Be at least 18 years of age to make or receive financial transactions (wallet top-up, tips, withdrawals)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the platform under applicable law

3. Platform Purpose

Worsship is a short-form video/content platform for the Christian faith community. It enables creators to share sermons, worship sessions, testimonies, prayer content, and devotionals. Users can engage through likes, comments, tips, and community channels. Worsship is not a church, religious organisation, or financial institution.

4. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at support@worsship.com
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts
• Accounts are non-transferable

We offer Guest accounts (consume and interact with content) and Host accounts (upload content, build communities, monetise). You can upgrade to Host from your profile at any time.

5. Content Guidelines

You may not post, upload, or share content that:

• Is sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic
• Promotes or glorifies violence, self-harm, or terrorism
• Contains hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on religion, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Spreads demonstrably false religious teaching presented as established doctrine without disclosure
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of any person or entity
• Constitutes spam, phishing, or fraudulent solicitation
• Harasses, threatens, or bullies other users
• Violates the privacy of any individual
• Is illegal under Nigerian law or the laws of the user's jurisdiction

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts of repeat violators, at our sole discretion.

6. Wallet and Payments

6. Referral Programme

Worsship operates a referral programme that rewards users for bringing new members to the platform. By participating:

• Each user receives a unique referral code or link tied to their account
• A referral is considered qualified when the referred user completes all qualifying actions: email verification, profile setup, following at least one creator, and making a wallet transaction
• Referral rewards are subject to a 5-day release period after qualification

The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and account suspension without refund of any earned rewards:

• Creating fake or duplicate accounts to generate referrals
• Self-referral using alternative accounts
• Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to generate referral activity
• Providing incentives that misrepresent the nature of Worsship

Worsship reserves the right to withhold, reverse, or claw back referral rewards where fraudulent or artificial activity is identified, at any time, including after initial credit.

Referral programme terms, reward amounts, and qualifying criteria may be changed at any time with reasonable notice.

7. Communities and Channels

Host accounts may create communities and channels. Community creators ("hosts") agree that:

• They are responsible for moderating their own communities
• Paid channel access must deliver genuine value to paying members
• Anonymous prayer requests posted by members must be protected — hosts must not reveal the identity of anonymous posters
• Pinned content must be appropriate and serve the community's spiritual benefit

8. Church Verification

Church verification is available to registered churches and formal ministries. Submitting a verification request constitutes a declaration that the information provided is true and accurate. Providing false information is a material breach of these terms and will result in permanent account suspension. Verified status is granted at Worsship's sole discretion and may be revoked at any time if these Terms of Service or Community Guidelines are violated.

9. Music Library

Worsship provides a music library of tracks licensed for use on the platform. You may attach tracks from this library to your posts. The music library is licensed for use within Worsship only — you may not download, redistribute, or use these tracks outside of the platform. Worsship makes no warranty that all tracks are cleared for use in all jurisdictions, and you remain responsible for any copyright obligations in your territory.

10. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Worsship. By uploading content, you grant Worsship a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the platform and for promotional purposes related to Worsship.

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload, including any music, footage, or third-party material. You must not upload content that infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.

11. Community and Creator Relationships

Paid channel memberships and tips are transactions between users. Worsship is a platform provider only. We do not guarantee the quality, availability, or continuing existence of any creator's content. Creators are independent individuals, not employees or agents of Worsship.

12. Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service or our Community Guidelines
• Engage in fraud or misrepresentation
• Attempt to compromise the security of the platform
• Are found to be under the minimum age requirement

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon termination, your content will be removed and wallet funds that cannot be processed for withdrawal will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

13. Disclaimers

Worsship is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Content on Worsship represents the views of individual creators and does not represent the theological positions of Worsship Ltd.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Worsship shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal injury. Our total liability in any matter shall not exceed the amount you paid to Worsship in the 12 months preceding the claim.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, or through arbitration as mutually agreed. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
