Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Worsship ("the platform", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Platform Purpose

Worsship is a faith-based platform for sharing videos, photos, carousels, and written content aligned with Christian values. It includes community channels, live streaming, a music library, creator monetisation tools, and church community features. All content and interactions on Worsship must align with Christian values and our Community Guidelines.

3. User Accounts

When creating an account you agree that:

• You will provide accurate and truthful information
• You are at least 13 years old
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You will not share your account or allow others to access it
• You will notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

We offer Guest accounts (consume and interact with content) and Host accounts (upload content, build communities, monetise). You can upgrade to Host from your profile at any time.

4. Content Guidelines

All content you post — including videos, photos, carousels, captions, comments, community posts, and prayer requests — must comply with our Community Guidelines. You may not post content that:

• Is sexually explicit, violent, or harmful
• Promotes hatred, discrimination, or harassment
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains deliberate misinformation likely to cause harm
• Is spam, artificially amplified, or deceptive

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms without prior notice and without liability.

5. Payments, Wallet, and Fees

Worsship operates a wallet system for platform transactions. All top-ups are processed by Paystack. By using the payment features, you agree to Paystack's terms of service.

• Minimum wallet top-up: ₦100
• Tips to creators are voluntary and non-refundable
• Channel membership fees are charged once at the time of joining and are non-refundable
• Worsship charges a 15% platform fee on all creator earnings at the time of withdrawal
• Minimum withdrawal amount: ₦1,000
• Withdrawal processing is subject to Paystack's settlement timelines
• All transactions are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law
• We reserve the right to suspend wallet access where fraudulent or abusive activity is detected

6. Referral Programme

Worsship operates a referral programme that rewards users for bringing new members to the platform. By participating:

• Each user receives a unique referral code or link tied to their account
• A referral is considered qualified when the referred user completes all qualifying actions: email verification, profile setup, following at least one creator, and making a wallet transaction
• Referral rewards are subject to a 5-day release period after qualification
• The following are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and account suspension without refund of any earned rewards:
  • Creating fake or duplicate accounts to generate referrals
  • Self-referral using alternative accounts
  • Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to generate referral activity
  • Providing incentives that misrepresent the nature of Worsship
• Worsship reserves the right to withhold, reverse, or claw back referral rewards where fraudulent or artificial activity is identified, at any time including after initial credit
• Referral programme terms, reward amounts, and qualifying criteria may be changed at any time with reasonable notice

7. Communities and Channels

Host accounts may create communities and channels. Community creators ("hosts") agree that:

• They are responsible for moderating their own communities
• Paid channel access must deliver genuine value to paying members
• Anonymous prayer requests posted by members must be protected — hosts must not reveal the identity of anonymous posters
• Pinned content must be appropriate and serve the community's spiritual benefit

8. Church Verification

Church verification is available to registered churches and formal ministries. Submitting a verification request constitutes a declaration that the information provided is true and accurate. Providing false information is a material breach of these terms and will result in permanent account suspension. Verified status is granted at Worsship's sole discretion and may be revoked at any time if these terms or community guidelines are violated.

9. Music Library

Worsship provides a music library of tracks licensed for use on the platform. You may attach tracks from this library to your posts. The music library is licensed for use within Worsship only — you may not download, redistribute, or use these tracks outside of the platform. Worsship makes no warranty that all tracks are cleared for use in all jurisdictions and you remain responsible for any copyright obligations in your territory.

10. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you upload to Worsship. By uploading content, you grant Worsship a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and promote your content within the platform and in connection with Worsship's marketing activities. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account. You must not upload content you do not own or have explicit permission to share.

11. Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice and without liability. On termination:

• Your content will be removed from the platform
• Remaining wallet balance may be withheld where termination is due to fraud or policy violation
• Referral rewards that have not yet been released will be forfeited on termination for cause

You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@worsship.com. Any wallet balance above the minimum withdrawal threshold will be paid out subject to identity verification.

12. Limitation of Liability

Worsship is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the platform will meet your specific requirements. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of goodwill.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Worsship after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
